I am not who you thought I am

A lovely smile with dimples can turn into a different look, when the other person realizes that they have been mistaken you for someone else.
Wait! I thought you were someone else!   I am sorry it was my mistake, sorry for having disturbed you!

As many of us have features that resemble someone from our past, we often mistake someone from Africa for someone we used to know in the west , across the Atlantic. This shows that we all may have genetic links to previous generations from our mother-land/continent.
The questions we should ask ourselves are numerous.
But I will not presume to list the questions here because they would be my questions, therefore not the same questions others would ask themselves.

Having good manners is a skill that is in most demand in today's World.
When we make a mistake, we should recognize that one was made.... the person is not thinking the same thing you are thinking! SO apologize for disturbing them and move on, or engage them in a conversation that can lead to a fruitful relationship over time.
We will just never know unless we try to take steps in a positive direction. The step back move works well in basketball games , why? Because the other person isn't expecting it they anticipate the forward movement. A step back can mean one of two things a retreat for better positioning or a need for space to go on the attack.
I know that some men like Amazon's  but I am not interested in being a subject of men's fetishes.

FINAL THOUGHT
We now live in a world where assuming the wrong things has become the normal thing to do first, then we try to fix the wrong assumption we made... but that doesn't always work. The other person may resent the fact that you try to act on your wrong assumptions.
